24MX Celebrates the 6DAYS® Finishers at the Historic One Hundredth Edition

October 21, 2026

The 6DAYS® is the oldest event on the FIM calendar and one of the toughest tests in off-road racing. Over six days, riders cover over one thousand kilometres, tackle special tests and carry out their own mechanical work, making simply reaching the finish line an achievement.

Since its launch at the 2021 6DAYS® in Italy, the 6DAYS® Finisher by 24MX initiative has continued to celebrate all the riders who rise to the challenge and cross the finish line on the sixth and final day of the race.

In a dedicated area just beyond the finish line, riders are welcomed and congratulated on their achievement. Each finisher is presented with a special 6DAYS® Finisher by 24MX trophy and invited to capture the moment in a photograph, either individually or alongside their team-mates, family and friends.

The initiative was originally created to shine a spotlight on Club team riders, the local heroes whose performances often receive less attention than those of the top Trophy teams. Above all, it provides an opportunity to celebrate what they have accomplished.

Club Team riders represent the largest category of participants, accounting for approximately seventy per cent of the total field. Of the 465 riders who took the start on the first day of the race, 325 were competing as Club Team riders.

266 Club Team riders crossed the finish line on the sixth and final day, out of a total of 385 finishers. Our thoughts are also with the 80 riders who were unable to complete the race, along with their teams. We hope to see them back at the next editions of the 6DAYS®, ready to take on the challenge once again.

There is also something particularly special about this finisher celebration. Although it was not something specifically anticipated when the 6DAYS® Finisher by 24MX initiative was launched on site, it has been a great pleasure to see Trophy team riders spontaneously joining the celebration and happily receiving their finisher trophies alongside riders from every other category.

It is a powerful reminder that, regardless of category or performance, every rider shares the same adventure, faces the same challenges and deserves to celebrate the achievement of completing the 6DAYS®.

A Historic Edition in Portugal
This year’s 6DAYS® marked a milestone as the event celebrated its one hundredth edition, held from 12 to 17 October in Grândola, in Portugal’s Alentejo region. It was the fourth time Portugal had hosted the event, following Coimbra (1999), Figueira da Foz (2009) and Portimão (2019).
